Community Partnership
We thank the community for comments received to date. These comments have been taken into consideration and passed to our environmental specialists, therefore informing the scheme design and assessment work. The Statement of Community Involvement submitted with the planning application provides further details on community engagement.
We have met with parish councillors to discuss the project and related community benefits. We are also working with a local group to improve biodiversity on the site. The proposed development would support a community benefit fund of £500 per MW, equating to £25,000 per year for the 49.9MW site. This fund would be used to support local initiatives in the area.

-
Ridge Clean Energy (RCE) works as a partner with the local community from the early stages of the development.
-
Using RCE’s development experience and seed capital, RCE will help to deliver successful community projects.
-
RCE will work with the community throughout the entire lifetime of the project.
-
RCE's Net Zero Community App will also help the local community measure and achieve their carbon reduction.
Our Ethos
At Ridge Clean Energy we offer a unique approach within the renewable energy industry by partnering with the local community for the lifetime of the project. And we start our local work years before our projects become operational.
The Ridge Team combines expertise in developing UK renewable energy projects and working with local communities to create enduring local benefits. Our team has a proven track record of creating valuable community assets.
For each renewable energy project, a Community Partnership Coordinator is assigned to build a relationship with key people in the area to identify and develop local ideas that will support the community’s path to Net Zero.
