Ridge Clean Energy supports the Queen’s Green Canopy

“Throughout 2022 and spring 2023, Ridge Clean Energy (RCE) proudly supported the Queen’s Green Canopy initiative by sponsoring tree planting across England. As many as 75 trees were planted at locations linked to Ridge Clean Energy’s project sites as well as another 1529 trees are being planted in recognition of every new British citizen who settled in Oxfordshire during that time. Many of these tree planting events were supported and attended by the Lord Lieutenant or Deputy Lieutenants of the respective area.
What is the Queen’s Green Canopy?
The Queen’s Green Canopy (or QGC) is a unique tree planting initiative and was created to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022, and to draw attention to the two greatest challenges facing humankind: climate change and the decline in biodiversity. The project has created a living
legacy of over three million trees planted in Her Majesty’s name across the nation, serving as a lasting tribute to Her Majesty’s extraordinary service to her country and her people ( see map here ).
As a company, Ridge Clean Energy are committed to improving our environment for the benefit of wildlife and future generations and as such are pleased to work with community groups, local councils, schools and individuals to support this worthwhile project.”
